Practicing drum rudiments is one of the most important things drummers can do to improve their chops.
The single paradiddle is one of the most commonly used besides single strokes and double strokes. The thing is, they can be dull to practice and sometimes we need new approaches to working on them beyond simple speed exercises.
These are just a few of the ways you can practice paradiddles beyond the basic sticking. Adding accents to various stickings challenges your mind and improves your stick control.
If you want to challenge yourself and improve your paradiddles, check out this lesson!
